Designed with modern opulence in mind, Chatswood’s Luxe Concept Salon has been nominated for an award at Hair Expo Australia, the largest hairdressing event in the southern hemisphere.
The Chatswood Chase hair salon is one of four nominees from Australia and New Zealand in the best new salon design category.
Salon owner Reuben Roberts said it was an encouraging start for the business, which opened a year ago.
“It’s great to be recognised as doing a nice job,” he said. “Especially considering the expo has the most kudos in the industry.”
Mr Roberts said Luxe’s black, stylish interiors were inspired by high-end brands such as Gucci and Chanel and aimed to create a feeling of modern opulence.
“The salon feels like a cool, exclusive club,” he said. “Most importantly, our clients have been impressed.”
The interior has been featured in various magazines including Inside Retailing, Culture Magazine and Australian Hairdressers Journal.
Hair Expo Australia 2010 will showcase local and international stylists and celebrity hairdressers from June 12-14 with a special gala awards event hosted by actor Daniel MacPherson on June 14.
