Premium fashion destination Chatswood Chase welcomed the addition of Luxe hair salon in early March – its high-end interior and luxury products and services a perfect fit for the fashionable heart of Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
Hailing from the UK and a hairdresser for over 20 years, Vidal Sassoon trained Luxe salon owner Reuben Roberts has tended tresses in such diverse locations as Miami, Vancouver, Italy and the QEII health spa ensuring one thing is for sure – this man understands luxury.
“Chatswood Chase is an upmarket suburban shopping centre and is a centre of fashion so clients demand a fashion forward twist to their hairdressing,” said Roberts.
Designed by gpr design in Sydney’s Crows Nest, the salon interior features pendant lights from Space, Joiken salon furniture and a back bar area adorned with bronze metallic Bisazza mosaic tiles, delivering a truly high-end experience. A marbled concrete floor is offset perfectly by mirrored ceilings, Barbara Hulanicki wallpaper and the aluminium chains that divide the retail and washbasin areas.
“We modelled the salon design on luxury brands such as Gucci that incorporate black, white and metallics for a feeling of modern opulence,” said Roberts. “The Luxe salon philosophy is for our clients to enjoy a relaxing environment while experiencing quality fashion forward hairdressing.”
The highly trained Luxe team of ten specialise in precision cutting, expert colouring, texture design and creative styling – skills maintained through a rigorous schedule of ongoing intensive training.
Luxury hair care brand Davines is the brand of choice for Luxe; “Already aware of the cult boutique success of Davines in the UK and US we were very keen to be part of that success when the products were available in Australia as we felt they fit perfectly with the quality brand we have created,” said Roberts.
